    Description

    Offered is an original photograph of a Victorian era family, the daughter has on a beautifully embroidered top, the father has a handsome mustache. In black and white / sepia, it is matted, the photo measures 4 x 5½ inches while the mat measures 5¾ x 8¾ inches. It is in good used condition. The mat is stamped: "Kuessner ... 1530 W. Chicago Ave. ... near Ashland ... Chicago."
    We obtained the photo in an estate lot with quite a few others. From the different writings in the lot, we believe that the family name of the estate was Parson, they came from Illinois. Evelyn Parson was born Evelyn Louise Meyer, her mother was Elsie Louise Engver Meyer, born in 1892 in Illinois. I believe Elsie's mother was Louise Schumacher Engver, who was married to Emil Engver.  We could be wrong about the identities, but it all tracks.
