    Description

Offered is an original photograph of a very pretty young girl on the occasion of her confirmation in 1906. In black and white / sepia, the actual photo measures 2½ x 5½ inches, the mat measures 6 x 8½ inches. It is in excellent gently used condition. We obtained the photo in an estate lot with quite a few others. From the different writings in the lot, we believe that the family name of the estate was Parson, they came from Illinois. Evelyn Parson was born Evelyn Louise Meyer, her mother was Elsie Louise Engver Meyer, born in 1892 in Illinois. I believe Elsie Louise is the girl in the photo, in 1906 she would have been 14 which is an average age for being confirmed. On the back is written: "Grandma as a young girl, confirmation 1906." We could be wrong about her identity, but it all tracks.
PLEASE NOTE: The photo as shown has drops of water on it - it is an effect that we put on when we scanned the photo, to avoid unauthorized duplication. The photo you receive will not have the water drops when you receive it.
