HISTORY: On July 2,1925 Harry Greb
the "Pittsburgh Windmill"
met Mickey Walker for the Middleweight Title.
Greb took a lead in the early rounds, loafed a bit and had been lagging along up to the 14th when he suddenly hit Walker on the chin with a right that dazed the fighting Irishman. Walker backed into his own corner as Greb emptied every punch he could muster. Walker outfought Greb in the 15th and last round with a
determined attack on the "Windmill's" body, frequently hurting him with left hooks to the stomach and under the heart.
Greb though had offset anything Walker might now do. There was little demonstration as Joe Murphy, raised Greb's soaking glove. Offered here is an original glass negative of Harry Greb, taken one day before the fight.
