    Description

Welcome to my store - stuffbydavid  :o)
    Firefly
    NEW !!!
Up for sale/auction is Magical Film -
    Firefly
. The size is 10 foot by 20 inches (3.048m X 50.8cm). I call this film Firefly because depending on how the light hits it,and the background it is against. You see a hint of Firefly color
on some angles and on other angles its all there. And the other colors are blue and a little red. This color was very hard to take photos of.Some of the uses for this film are: Gift bag paper, wrapping paper, making flowers - the same way you make them with tissue paper. Scrunch it up to make a long garland to wrap around your wreaths, for wedding decor, put around your Christmas tree - inside and out, the sun really reflects the colors in this film. (some of these photos were taken in the sun light)You can also make
    WINGS
with this film. And using my 12 gage or 6 gage wire you can make life size wings. This film is a little different when heating than Angelina or Fantasy film but it will work. I'll show you how below.

Here is how I make wings with this film.(The film below is Kaleidoscope) Same as angelina/fantasy film, except for the heating.
    Make your wing forms.
Take a piece of the film and scrunch it up. This will make it show more of it's colors.
Now it's time to glue the film to the wire. I like this glue the best for my wings. I use my finger or a tooth pick to spread on the glue. After you spread on the glue, let it set for a couple of minutes. Then lay your flattened out film.
Press it down really hard, then take your finger and rub along the wire. After this I always put something heavy on it until it dryes.
Then trim the flim to about 1/4 - 3/16 of an inch. Now at this point you can heat it or not. Just add a few thick coats of Crystal Lacquer or Dimond Glaze. Below is a photo of one I made without heating.
This is the film after heating. It looks wrinkeled, but its smooth. And I have some more triming to do. To heat this film - you have to be careful not to leave the heat in one spot to long. Notice the bottom right wing, I left the heat on this spot to long. The way you heat this is to - heat it up and then take it away. That is when it does it's shrinking - when it is cooling. You just keep heating and pulling away a few times and letting it cool each time. For a second or two. You will see it shrink.
Now it is time for the Crystal Lacquer or Dimond Glaze. Both of which you can find in my store. :o) Put a thick coat on the wings and let dry on a flat surface. Then flip them over and do that side. Then when that side drys repeat the first side. Most of the time I put 3 coats.
And here it is done. It looks like it is rough, but it is very smooth. The next few photos are what this color film looks like in different light.
If you have any questions about this film, or anything else, please feel free to contact me.  :o)
