19th C. ID'd CIVIL WAR SOLDIER~ OH 131st INFANTRY ~LARGE ORIGINAL PHOTO PORTRAIT

Description

Up for auction is an original old photograph of man identified as JOSEPH SHAPAKER.
He lived in New York but went to Ohio to enlist as a Corporal in the OH 131st Infantry - "K" Company, during the Civil War. He mustered in May 1864 and mustered out in August 1865 at Camp Chase, OH.
A nice portrait of him in civilian clothing, and the photo
measures a larger size... 10" x 8"
.
Back of photo has the photographer stamp R. COOPER - 460 Main St. - Buffalo, NY. Condition as pictured. A nice piece of history to add to any collection.
