Description
Australian Antarctic Territory 1950 (19th Feb) Heard Island plain cover with set of three Australia Peace stamps SG 213/215 (Ref. 1) tied by 'A.N.A.R.E. HEARDIS. / 19FE50 / AUST' circular date stamp Milner A1a (Ref. 2) with on reverse cachet in black 'AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL
ANTARCTIC / RESEARCH EXPEDITION' Milner AC1a and also in black straight line 'HEARD ISLAND' not recorded by Milner and used to UK. Fine.
Stamps of Australia were used from the Australian Antarctic Territory bases before 27th March 1957 (Refs 1 & 2).
I attest that the 'roo stamps(or any stamps for that matter) in my stock have not been reperfed, reperfinned(if a perfin),regummed(if mint or CTO) or gassed while in my possession. Furthermore I assert that these 'roo stamps have never been so treated because I bought them so long ago before these things were prevalent and/or I bought them from impeccable sources.
